Wine and Unwind

The most popular way to celebrate a joyous occasion is with a few bottles of fine wine and favorable drinks. However, having a little bit too much to drink can leads to some pretty awkward moments that we’re pretty sure you would rather be without.

Tips to Survive:

  • Eat a hearty meal - never drink on an empty stomach. You’ll increase the chances of getting drunk within the first few refills of the night.
  • Stay hydrated - be sure to keep yourself hydrated before and after the drinking session to keep a terrible hangover from greeting you the next morning.
  • Pace yourself - it’s not a race to see who finishes the bottle. So, be wise and remember to pace yourself and enjoy socializing throughout the night.

Reunion for All

Whether it be your gigantic family clan or a longtime group of friends this New Year’s Eve, you can count on having a great laugh and fond memories with these special people.

Tips to Survive:

  • Commit to the moment - it’s not every day that this celebration happens. You'd want to be present at the moment and not be on your phone playing games or checking social media. Everyone would be busy doing their own celebration for New Year’s Eve and being online is not always the best option.
  • Go with the flow - it may not be the easiest thing to do and you may stumble and have awkward moments here and there, but it’s a reunion party. Nobody is perfect at socializing, so you can chill and just enjoy the time with people.
  • Be natural - don’t act like somebody you’re not. Remember that these are the people who know you, so if there’s any group of people you could go crazy with, it’s this one.

Tips to Survive:

  • Stick with friends - When out on a big event, always stick with a trusted buddy or friend, especially in the evening when anything can happen. It’s also good for your friend to have you as a backup.
  • Be alert - Even if it’s encouraged to meet new people and mingle, always keep your guard up and know how to spot red flags if they're shooting right in front of you.
  • Take care of your valuables - don’t leave your bag or phone lying around where you can’t see them. Keep some money in your pocket at all times.
